Who We Are

The BYU Center for Industrial Design Education & Research (CIDER) involves students, faculty and industry leaders in actively exploring emerging topics, technologies, and techniques that strive to provide transformative learning experiences for students while advancing design pedagogy for educators.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

CIDER's educational objective is to provide students with research opportunities that increase their understanding of design education research methods and topics, enable publication and dissemination of their research and expand their network connections through conference attendance, presentations, and course exhibitions.

1   We share our work with design educators through publications, workshops, collaborations, and presentations

 

2   We collaborate with industry through sponsored projects, exhibitions, and product proposals.
